Cliven Bundy speaks out on president’s pardon of imprisoned Oregon ranchers

BUNKERVILLE, Nev., July 12, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Cliven Bundy, a guiding force in the anti-government-overreach movement in the western U.S., says the presidential pardon of Oregon ranchers Dwight and Steven Hammond was a “victory” for the country, and shows that Donald Trump is on their side.

Bundy, 71, made the comments during an interview with Gephardt Daily at the Bundy Ranch, outside Bunkersville, Nev., site of the infamous 2014 armed confrontation between BLM agents and supporters of the Bundy clan.

During the first installment in a series of a wide-ranging interviews, Bundy discusses the Hammonds’ release, the 41-day takeover and standoff at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, organized by his sons, Ammon and Ryan Bundy, and the police shooting death of occupier spokesperson Robert “LaVoy” Finicum.

  1. BLM needs to be brought under control they are destroying good men’s lives. First hand knowledge of them land locking two young men in Utah from taking their cattle from their private land to their mountain area private owned land. They would need to cross BLM land which has been done year after year until they reported some dishonest practices. Now they are blocking them to starve them out on having to buy feed everyday. This is power over reach in all sense of the word.

  2. Dorothy you are so right. The govt has started a squeeze that will never end. It is almost impossible to be a rancher/farmer anymore. Just the mention of BLM land makes my blood boil. It is our land, the citizens of America. Or it was anyway.
