SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Nov. 7, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman was fatally stabbed and a man was left in critical condition after an altercation between three people outside a business in Salt Lake City.
The attacks grew out of a dispute over property that happened at about 9 p.m. behind a Dollar Tree store at 477 N. 300 West.
The suspect — described by police as a Hispanic man wearing a blanket — is believed to have stabbed the two victims near a dumpster behind the business. The woman was transported to a local hospital, but died. The man remained in critical condition as of 10:15 p.m., according to a report from police.
Police helicopters with lights continued to scan the area as of 10:30 p.m.
All three people were reported to be homeless, according to police information.
