If you have a glass table top, don’t be too confident that it won’t break or even explode without warning.
“It was a good pop and then just the shattering of glass,” Shane Mac Millan tells KGTV. His young son was playing close to the table when it exploded. “We’re lucky that none of our kids were hurt, that they don’t have glass in their eye,” says Mac Millan.
This problem is happening all over the country, spanning different makes and brands.
Outraged consumers of the Martha Stewart glass table went as far as filing a class action lawsuit against the brand, a judge later dismissed it.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission keeps tracks of the complaints. They tell Gephardt Daily the complaints work and help determine if there is a problem so recalls can be ordered.
