HERRIMAN, Utah, Dec. 26, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Herriman said a missing teen who was believed to be endangered has been found safe.

Lily Stephens, 15, was last seen at about 5:30 p.m. Friday at her home. She was located Wednesday afternoon, according to a news release from Herriman Police Department.

She had indicated that she was going to stay with a friend, a previous news release said, but since Friday, her whereabouts were unknown.

A news release from Herriman Police Department Wednesday afternoon said: “After receiving several tips from the public, Lily Stephens was located by HPD detectives this afternoon. She is safe and unharmed.

“As with all missing persons cases, there are protocols we adhere to in an attempt to obtain information on where and with whom she had stayed, how she traveled, etc.

“At this time, there is no information to indicate any criminal activity took place related to her disappearance.

“We will attempt to provide Lily and her family with resources to assist them in this difficult time.”

The previous news release from Herriman Police Department said Lily had left a handwritten note threatening self-harm.
