A wind advisory is issued when sustained winds at speeds of 31 to 45 miles per hour are expected.

South Davis County Metro Fire has reported high winds and some damage in South Davis County.

“Wind is picking up. Stay indoors if you can,” the Bountiful-based agency said on its Facebook page, among pictures of dark clouds and a broken tree limb.

Another of its posts warned of downed power lines at 100 S. Main St., in Centerville, and asked people to stay clear.

A Rocky Mountain Power website notice said that approximately 1,333 customers in zip code area  84014 are without power in Centerville.

Repairs are underway, and expected to be complete at midnight, the page said.
