SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 31, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — The parents of two LDS missionaries injured in the terrorist attack on the Brussels airport will speak at 11 a.m. Thursday from the University of Utah Hospital Burn Center, where their sons are being treated.
Chad and Kymberly Wells, parents of Mason Wells, 19, of Sandy, and Court and Amber Empey, parents of Joseph Dresden Empey, 20, of Santa Clara, will speak briefly.
Also making short statements will be Dr. Stephen Morris, Burn Unit Center medical director, and Dr. Giovanni Lewis, a surgeon at the center.
Mason Wells and Joseph Dresden Empey were among four missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who were caught in the March 22 terrorist bombings. Wells and Empey were initially treated in Belgium before returning to Utah.
Also injured were Richard Norby, 66, of Lehi, and Fanny Rachel Clain, 20, of France.
