Pedestrian dead in possible officer-involved auto-pedestrian accident in Ogden

OGDEN, Utah, Oct. 1, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Ogden are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian overnight believed to have involved in a Weber State University officer.

First responders were dispatched to 27th Street and Washington Blvd. about 10:40 p.m. Thursday.

When Ogden police and medical personnel arrived at the accident site they discovered a Weber State University police officer rendering first aid to the critically injured pedestrian who died from injuries at the scene.

Ogden PD conformed the victim was a 27-year-old male. His name has yet to be released.

The Weber State Police Department was expected to release a statement.

Gephardt Daily’s crew was on location shortly after the accident.
