SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 20, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police are looking for two men who are suspects in an alleged aggravated assault and attempted kidnapping late Monday afternoon.
SLCPD Lt. Justin Hudson said the men are considered armed and dangerous, but the public is not in danger, as this was an isolated incident in which the victim and suspects know each other.
Hudson said the incident occurred at about 5 p.m. at 400 W. American Ave. (960 South), when words were exchanged between the victim and suspects, and shots were fired. Hudson said no one was hit, and no one else was nearby, as that intersection is “a pretty desolate area.”
He said the victim ran off when the shooting started.
The suspects are believed to be driving a silver or green Jeep Grand Cherokee, possibly a 2005 model.
Metro Gang officers are investigating the incident.
Anyone who may have information about the suspects or their whereabouts is asked to call Salt Lake City Police dispatch at 801-799-3000.
