Giraffes Drop In For Breakfast At Kenyan Hotel

NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug. 5 (UPI) — A video filmed at a popular Kenyan hotel shows off one of the accommodation’s most unusual tourist draws: breakfast with giraffes.

“Eating Breakfast With Giraffes in Africa,” a video uploaded to YouTube by Discovery’s Seeker Stories, shows how the giraffes living on the grounds of The Giraffe Manor hotel in Nairobi poke their heads into windows to share breakfast with hotel guests.

“You really appreciate the size of a giraffe’s head when it’s in your cereal bowl,” photographer Robin Moore says in the video.

The hotel is on the grounds of a 140-acre sanctuary run by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife’s Giraffe Center.

The facility’s website said the herd of Rothschild giraffes visit in the mornings and evenings,”poking their long necks into the windows in the hope of a treat, before retreating to their forest sanctuary.”
