ATLANTA, Dec. 14 (UPI) — Theme park Six Flags Over Georgia announced 402 people locked lips under the mistletoe to set a Guinness World Record for Most Couples Kissing Under the Mistletoe at Once.
The amusement park gathered 402 people — 201 couples — Saturday and had them kiss for at least 10 seconds simultaneously under sprigs of mistletoe under the watchful eye of Guinness adjudicator Tavia Levy.
“Holiday in the Park is a special time of year and tonight, our guests created a lifelong memory by kissing under mistletoe and setting a new world record at Six Flags Over Georgia,” Six Flags Atlanta Properties Park President Dale Kaetzel said.

“This holiday celebration is quickly becoming a growing family tradition in Atlanta and we look forward to many more memories that will be created this year and beyond.”

Event sponsor DenTek provided floss picks for participants to ensure they would have fresh breath for the big kiss.

Levy announced after the attempt that Guinness’ requirements had been met and the world record was set.

“This is the most exciting event I’ve been to. Everyone was so happy to participate in the record. It is a memory that will last a lifetime,” Levy said.
