Goose Spotted in Georgia with Dart Through its Head
SANDY SPRINGS, Ga., March 18 (UPI) — An animal rescue group in Georgia said it is working to locate and capture a goose photographed with a dart through its head.
Meg Harrison said she and her son spotted the injured goose Tuesday at Arlington Memorial Cemetery in Sandy Springs and they contacted AWARE Wildlife Center.
The center said rescuers are attempting to capture the goose so its injury can be treated.
Officials said similar injuries are becoming increasingly common — the center treated a goose dubbed ‘Steve’ last year after he was spotted in Kennesaw and eluded capture for two months with a 2-foot arrow through his head.
