March 15 (UPI) — A Colorado man captured video of a female moose visiting his backyard and apparently confusing a statue of a male moose for her “boyfriend.”
John Woods posted a video to YouTube showing the moose, which he dubbed “Momma Moose” after repeated visits, investigating the metal moose statue he placed in his Black Forest back yard.
The real moose appears perplexed by her “heavy metal boyfriend” and prods it repeatedly in search of a response.
The video ends with Momma Moose’s ill-fated attempt to mount the statue, resulting in it toppling over.
