HILLSIDE TOWNSHIP, N.J., Jan. 8 (UPI) — New Jersey State Police released video of two troopers to deliver a baby girl on the shoulder of the Garden State Parkway in Hillside Township.

The State Police posted a video to Facebook showing the cruiser’s dashboard camera footage after Troopers Alex Muro and Arnaldo Mateo arrived on the scene to assist the couple, who called 911 about 4:14 a.m. Monday.

The troopers can be heard telling the woman to “breath” and “keep going” before the infant was born at 4:26 a.m..
“It’s a girl!” one of the troopers can be heard saying.

“Both troopers assisted with cutting the umbilical cord before handing her over to mom,” the Facebook post said. “Mom and baby were transported by ambulance to the hospital where they were last reported as doing well.”
