Prosecutor in Freddie Gray’s Case Once Made an Appearance on ‘Judge Judy’
BALTIMORE, May 29 (UPI) — Before Marilyn Mosby was a prosecutor in the Freddie Gray case, she made her first public court appearance on Judge Judy.
As a college student, Mosby visited the reality court television show to resolve a dispute with a neighbor.
According to The Baltimore Sun, the neighbor “trashed her apartment while she was away on summer break, knocking down the door, leaving cigarette burns on the walls, a “disgusting” mess in the bathtub.”
Judge Judy ruled in Mosby’s favor, awarding the plaintiff the $1731.90 she asked for to cover the damages.
“I feel like there’s finally some justice served,” the lawyer said after receiving the verdict. “I tried to speak to the DA. I spoke to police officers, Judge Judy … she finally gave me justice.”
