MIAMI, March 16 (UPI) — A passenger on a flight from Nicaragua to Miami captured video of a woman lighting a cigarette in the plane and attempting to blame another passenger.

A Reddit user identified himself as a man seen sitting next to the woman in two YouTube videos taken Saturday aboard American Airlines flight 928 from Nicaragua to Miami.

One video shows the woman ranting about Venezuela.

“She began to yell and ‘protest’ on the flight about the United State’s invasion of Venezuela, how the great Hugo Chavez was a friend to the USA, and how Obama kills people on Tuesdays,” the man wrote. “Eventually the flight attendants came over and gave her an ultimatum: Stop yelling like a psycho or the police will be waiting on the tarmac.”

The user, who posted a picture of his T-shirt and boarding pass to confirm his identity, said the woman “took them up on their offer” and continued to shout while the plane was waiting for the police on the tarmac in Miami.

“While the plane was waiting on the tarmac for the police to arrive, she leans over to me and asks for a cigarette. She pulls one out of her bag and lights up,” the user wrote.

The second video shows the woman put out her cigarette when a flight attendant approaches and attempt to blame the man next to her for smoking.

The poster said the woman only had one drink on the plane, but other passengers had seen her drinking heavily before boarding. The Reddit post said the woman was also allegedly taking prescription painkillers at the time of the incident.

A woman identified by the man as the smoker from the flight was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and breach of the peace.
