SOUTHAMPTON, England, Nov. 16 (UPI, Daniel Uria) — A Southampton man with a massive Star Wars collection in his home is offering fellow fans of the films to spend the night in his shrine in anticipation of the release of the new film.
Dave Oldbury, 46, posted a listing to accommodation site Homestay, offering fellowStar Wars fans the opportunity to rent a room in his home which contains a nearly $230,000 dollar Star Wars collection.
The listing states that the room will be available for $54 per night from Dec. 4-5, a little over a week before Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to release in the UK.
“I’m offering any Padawan the chance to stay with me December 4th and 5th and enjoy my incredible collection just before the new Star Wars film is released. Trust your feelings when booking a room and may the force be with you…” Oldbury wrote in his Homestay listing.
The listing also mentions that the price includes a light breakfast. Smoking is among the list of things that will not be tolerated, along with force lightning and indoor lightsaber usage.
Oldbury began collecting Star Wars merchandise when he was just eight years oldand has amassed over 3,000 items in the following years.
“My first figure was Chewbacca, the rest quickly followed because I had to have them,” he said. “It’s my passion and I really enjoy it.”
According to Oldbury’s Homestay listing his collection includes, “rare posters, toys, action figures, books, and life-size Stormtroopers.”
The listing is available to anyone who loves Star Wars, according to Oldbury, but anyone interested in the listing should be sure to keep their Droids’ restraining bolts on at all times.
