The chase went through several small towns and continued for five miles after a spike strip planted by police popped one of the fleeing vehicle’s tires.
Police said the vehicle finally came to a stop near Queenstown when it came to a stretch of road blocked by a flock of sheep.
The sheep, coincidentally owned by a police officer, were not harmed.
Two men, ages 19 and 23, were charged with reckless driving, failing to stop for flashing lights, unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and three thefts stemming from failure to pay for gas.
A boy and a girl, both 14, were each charged with three counts of theft for the gas station incidents.
