Virginia Thieves Find Boy In Stolen Car
Virginia car thieves who discovered a boy in the back seat dropped the child off at school.
NORFOLK, Va., Nov. 19 (UPI) ─ Police in Norfolk, Va., say two car thieves, after finding an 8-year-old boy in the back seat of a car they’d stolen, gave him a ride to his school.

The boy’s mother left her 8-year-old son in the car Wednesday morning with the keys in the ignition while she went inside the Norfolk post office, where she works, according to police. When she came outside shortly after 8 a.m., the vehicle was gone.

Investigators say the car thieves, described as two males in their late teens or early 20s, discovered the young boy in the back seat and asked him where he goes to school.The boy told the thieves he was a student at Ghent Elementary School, so they dropped him off at the school and left in the stolen car.

“We found the child at school, unharmed, sitting in the classroom with a smile on his face,” Officer Daniel Hudson told WAVY-TV.

Police said the child was not harmed and the car was later found abandoned about three miles from the school. The thieves, when located, will likely face kidnapping and grand larceny charges.
