New Ideas Soar To New Heights At StartSLC
Local entrepreneurs are gathered at the Gateway to show off their start-up businesses and to network.
A Drone flying workshop in the Gateway plaza has been gathering a lot of attention, as people gather around to get a look at these amazing machines.
StartSLC is a three-day event that began on Thursday the 29th, bringing together entrepreneurs, hackers, designers, marketers, musicians, film-makers, bloggers, so that they can have fun, learn from one another and create lasting connections.

A pitch competition gives up-and-coming business owners a chance to deliver a live four-minute pitch followed by a four-minute question-and-answer session, and it began at 8 a.m. and will last until 6.p.m. at Church & State, located at 370 S. 300 East.
Judges will vote to determine the start-ups who will be invited to pitch in the competition’s finale on the closing night of StartSLC.
The winner will receive $150,000; second place will receive $50,000 and the audience will decide who receives the remaining $50,000.
