WASATCH COUNTY, Utah, June 29, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — A 23-year-old man is deceased after a presumed drowning at Deer Creek Reservoir Sunday.

Wasatch 911 dispatch center was called with a report of three swimmers in distress at approximately 2 p.m., said a Facebook post from Wasatch County Search and Rescue.

Teams were deployed to the area and found that an alert bystander had rescued two swimmers, while one man was unaccounted for.

Teams from Utah State Parks and Recreation, Summit County Utah Search and Rescue and Wasatch County Search and Rescue all responded to the call and to assist in the recovery of the man’s body, the post said.

“Our sincere condolences go out to the family of the swimmer that went down last night,” the post added.

The rescue operation took a total of 11 hours.

The deceased man has not been identified.
