BRIGHAM CITY, Utah, May 20, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A 29-year-old woman was killed after the vehicle she was driving crossed over an Interstate 15 off ramp near Brigham City and rolled Monday morning.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Nick Street told Gephardt Daily the deceased has been identified as Sammi Jo Revilla-Fernandez, from Brigham City.

Street said the incident occurred when the vehicle was traveling westbound on 1100 South at mile post 362 at approximately noon, when it crossed over the northbound off ramp and went airborne into the gore area.

The vehicle landed upside down on its roof.

Revilla-Fernandez died in the crash and a second person was transported to the Brigham City Community Hospital by ground ambulance.

A medical condition for the driver is being investigated as the possible cause.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The left lane of I-15 in that area was closed for a period of time, but has since reopened.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
