CLEARFIELD, Utah, July 15, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Clearfield City police approached a group of teens in a city park Monday night and found the youths with guns and a large variety of contraband substances.
Officers “found illegal vapes, guns, marijuana, and alcohol. One of the breathalyzers came back three times over the legal limit.”
The CCPD had a list of request for parents:
- Know where your kids are and who they’re with
- Talk about the dangers and consequences of drugs, alcohol, and firearms
- Secure your firearms. Locked firearms are far less likely to end up in the wrong hands
All city parks close at midnight, except Island View Park which closes at dark, the CCPD statement says.
“Thank you to the officers involved for their vigilance and professionalism. One proactive contact prevented a potentially much more serious incident.”
