DUCHESNE COUNTY, Utah, Oct. 28, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A controlled burn is planned for Duchesne County Monday, officials said.

“Evanston/Mountain View Ranger District fire personnel plan to burn approx 800 slash piles to reduce hazardous fuels starting today at the Hill Air Force Base camp, located seven miles east of the Mirror Lake Highway on the North Slope road,” said a tweet from Utah Fire Info at 7:30 a.m.

The tweet said that if residents see the fires burning, there is no need to report it.
