PARK CITY, Utah, March 16, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews battled a blaze at a Park City inn and restaurant Tuesday afternoon.

Park City Fire District Chief Patrick Harwood told Gephardt Daily the fire broke out at 7570 Royal St. East, which houses the Goldener Hirsch inn and restaurant, at approximately 5 p.m.

“The fire originated in the chimney,” Harwood said. “We have crews on scene, we have the initial fire knocked down. ”

He added that everyone was safely evacuated from the building and there were no injuries.

Harwood said more than 20 personnel are on scene, as well as two aerial trucks and several pumper trucks.

“We’re just trying to do salvage and overhaul and make sure it’s completely out,” he said.

No estimate on damages is currently available.

The cause is under investigation at this time, Harwood said.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
