SLCPD Seeks Robbery Suspect Targeting Fast Food Restaurants

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 19, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect who has targeted three fast food restaurants in the past six days.

SLCPD officials said in a news release that on July 14, a man entered the Kentucky Fried Chicken at 400 S. 555 East. He approached the counter and demanded money, then left on foot in an unknown direction.

The same individual is suspected in two additional robberies firstly on July 15, at McDonalds located at 1655 W. 700 North, then on Tuesday, at Burger King at 575 E 400 South.

Each of these robberies occurred in a similar manner, and Salt Lake Police said in the news release that they believe the same suspect is responsible for all three crimes.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned male, in his 20s and approximately six feet tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a baggy black hoodie with red on the inside of the hood. The suspect was also wearing aviator-style sunglasses.
