PROVO, Utah, Sept. 9, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — A giant American flag will fly above Rock Canyon this weekend.
“Follow the Flag will be flying a large American flag in Provo’s Rock Canyon this Friday Sept. 10 through Monday the 13,” said a tweet from Provo City.
The flag measures 150 feet by 78 feet, a total of 11,700 square feet, according to the Follow the Flag website.
“The flag will be lit through the night by one of the world’s brightest lights,” a follow-up tweet said. “A Xenon 7k, which is nearby 7 million candle foot of light.”
The tweet added: “You should easily be able to view the flag from across the city by looking towards Rock Canyon. Or you can come see the flag in person by visiting the Rock Canyon trailhead!”
