UTAH, April 24, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The American Lung Association has issued its annual report card, and given seven of Utah’s 29 counties failing grades.
Utah also got two C grades and three Bs. Seventeen other counties went ungraded due to incomplete data or no data collected.
But one Washington County city — St. George — made the Top 8 cleanest cities. That list, in alphabetical order, was:
- Cape Coral-Fort Myers-Naples, Florida
- Elmira-Corning, New York
- Gainesville-Lake City, Florida
- Grand Island, Nebraska
- North Port-Sarasota, Florida
- Pittsfield, Massachusetts
- St. George, Utah
- Syracuse-Auburn, New York
Utah report card
Data was not collected in Beaver, Daggett, Emery, Grand, Iron, Juab, Kane, Millard, Morgan, Piute, Rich, Sanpete, Sevier, Summit, Wasatch, Wayne counties. The report did not say why. Incomplete data collected in Garfield County also meant it did not get a grade.

Grade B air quality counties: Cache, Carbon, San Juan
Grade C: Box Elder, Washington
And failing with grade F: Davis, Duchesne, Salt Lake, Tooele, Uintah, Utah, Weber
