SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – October 23, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — A two-year-old girl is in critical condition after a three car accident Friday night near 900 West 2100 South.
According to Salt Lake Police Lt. John Beener, the child’s mother appeared to suffer a medical issue as she tried to turn left turn onto 900 West.
Witnesses say the mother appeared to be driving erratically just before rear-ending a van then glancing off a second vehicle before coming to a stop.
Bystanders removed the injured child from the mother’s car only to discover the two-year-old was having problems breathing.
She was taken by paramedics to Primary Children’s Hospital where she placed on a ventilator in the intensive care unit.
There were no other reports of injuries crash.
