TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, Oct. 2, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol officials have identified the driver who died Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 215.
Alma Chavez, 42, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash that occurred at about 12:05 p.m.
Chavez was the only occupant of a Honda Accord that drove off the right shoulder of the freeway, grazed the barrier, then traveled across all four lanes of traffic and struck the median barrier.
She was not wearing a seat belt, according to UHP investigators.
Chavez was a former resident of Eagle Mountain and Midvale. The UHP said her current address was unknown.
