SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – July 27, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Two armed robbery suspects were today charged in 3rd District Court Monday with first-degree felony aggravated robbery, and third degree felony fleeing from police.

SLCPD Detective Greg Wilking said David Arambula, 21, and Kenny Jauregui, 28, pulled up to a taco stand at 900 W. 950 North and demanded cash while pointing a hand gun at the woman who was working.

Charging documents state the amount of money given to the men was around $350.

“After receiving the money the two fled in a Jeep Renegade with no plates but were soon spotted by police and that resulted in a chase through the neighborhoods,” said Wilking. “The Jeep reached speeds of over 50 mph before it hit a curb that deflated both the front tires and we were able to apprehend Arambula.”

Jauregi, however, fled from the scene into a nearby house were officers chased him and were able to detain him. According to charging documents Jauregi told officers he was runner, so he was not going to stop for police.
