SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 26, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A driver was transported to an area hospital Tuesday afternoon after his car, a red Mustang, drove into the back of a box truck, and rolled over.

The collision happened at about 2:15 p.m. in the area of 5600 West and 700 South, Sgt. Greg Wilking, Salt Lake City Police, told Gephardt Daily.

The impact “caused the Mustang to roll, and the driver had to be extracted from the vehicle,” Wilking said.

“He was flown to a local hospital, in serious but not critical condition.”

The driver of the box truck is OK, Wilking said.

Gephardt Daily was at the scene. See photos below.
