NORTH OGDEN, Utah, May 25, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Check your doorbell cameras please, North Ogden officials ask, after someone’s carved up a park playing field, possibly crops-circle style.

“We need your help!” the North Ogden Public Works Department said online regarding recent vandalism at the city’s Oaklawn Park.

The damaging tire tracks discovered Thursday appeared to be in a pattern.

Enough so officials included aerial photos in their online request for the public’s help solving the crime they labeled “drawing with tires.” .

The photos show a possible attempt at a design of some kind.

Another overhead photo includes two people standing in the field for scale.

“Because the driver didn’t leave any identifying information,” according to the press release, “we are asking for assistance from our residents to figure out who might have been drawing with tires on the field.”

The damage came on the largest sports field, for soccer, at Oaklawn Park, 1200 E 2500 N. At 13 acres, Oaklawn is the largest of six city parks in North Ogden.

“If you have any information, were in the area, or might have caught something on a doorbell camera as they (suspects or suspect) were leaving, please contact North Ogden Police at 801-782-7219 and reference case number 24NO5261.
