ST. GEORGE, Utah, June 17, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — After the retirement of K-9 officer Enzo last August, the St. George Police Department took its time picking a successor.

But this week, it has announced the arrival of K-9 Rizz.

“Officer Adams has been a police officer with SGPD for 10 years,” says a social media post sharing the news. “He has been a K-9 handler for six years.

“After retiring his former K-9 partner Enzo in 2023, the search began for his new partner. K-9 Rizz was tested and selected to be his new K-9 partner.”

Rizz is a 2-year-old 2-year-old Hungarian Malinois, trained and certified through Utah POST in criminal apprehension and narcotics detection.”

The post says Adams and Rizz “are very excited to work together to help make our community a safer place to enjoy life!! Welcome, K-9 Rizz!!”

And a comment shares an update on a former SGPD coworker.
