SPRINGVILLE, Utah, Sept. 23, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials have identified a man fatally shot in the early hours of Sunday morning in Springville.
The victim has been identified as Lazaro A. Nieves, 29, who is from Springville, said a tweet from the Department of Public Safety Monday afternoon.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this time,” the tweet said. “We will have more information about the case Tuesday.”
The shooting occurred near 1600 S. State Route 89 at 2 a.m., a previous tweet from Springville DPS said.
