Small Plane Crash Kills 3 In North Dakota

WISHEK, N.D., June 10 (UPI) — Three people died, including the 20-year-old pilot, after a small plane crashed into a lake in North Dakota.

The incident happened near the town of Wishek on Thursday afternoon.

The 1964 Piper Cherokee went down into May Lake while en route to Bismarck. Authorities say complications during takeoff from Wishek’s airport resulted in the crash.

Both passengers, a 39-year-old woman and a 10-year-old boy, were also killed.

Their names have not been released.The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
