Family-owned business gets high marks for gutter guard installations and siding services
DRAPER, Utah, July 13, 2026 (Gephardt Daily/Bill’s Marketplace) — When Mike and Courtney Bickmore decided to launch their Draper-based business, GutterBuzz, in 2023, they made the decision that the fledgling company’s top priority would be providing Salt Lake and Utah County homeowners with premium gutter and outdoor building services, including siding installation. All of their work would be backed by transparent pricing, exceptional workmanship and top customer service.
Three years later, the company is being recognized — especially among its 5-star fans — as home to one of the best- designed residential gutter guard systems on the Wasatch Front.
But before there was a GutterBuzz, there was a unique partnership that charted the company’s path.
Not just a business partnership.
A life partnership.
While being interviewed for Bill’s Marketplace, it took just minutes chatting with Mike and Courtney before the nature of their partnership came to light. It also provided insights into how the operation is managed.
GutterBuzz doesn’t have a captain and a first officer when it comes to “sailing the ship.”
It has two first mates.
Both are deeply involved in the business. Both understand the products. Both understand the customers and share responsibility for the company’s growth, culture and reputation.
While Mike brings years of industry experience and an almost obsessive fascination with product development and performance, Courtney brings an equally powerful blend of business savvy, customer advocacy and operational leadership.
Together, they challenge each other, refine ideas and constantly search for ways to improve their customers’ experience.
“When we say we love our customers, we mean it,” Courtney said. “Utah is our home. We consider ourselves a hometown team. Our friends and families live here. The neighbors we grew up with live here. So, yes, we are deeply committed to serving our community.”
That commitment to the community, according to Mike, has been key to the company’s growing reputation as a trusted local contractor, one that specializes in “all things gutter-related,” including gutter replacements, cleanings, and custom gutter guard installations, as well as exterior siding.

It also means long hours — something Mike and Courtney know all too well as they balance raising a family while growing a company from the ground up.
“The kids have become so familiar with the operation they can practically recite portions of the company’s customer-service script from memory,” Mike said.
“And, no, we don’t really sleep, ever,” Courtney joked. “I’m usually up until 2 a.m. Mike goes to sleep a little earlier than that, but then again, he’s up at 4 a.m. and works till dusk, so I guess I need to cut him a tiny bit of slack.”
The comment draws a laugh, but kidding aside, Mike says the long hours, including seven-day work weeks, are proof of one thing — the Bickmores are all in.
Those conversations happen in the office.
In the car.
Around the dinner table.
Often late into the night.
Because for Mike and Courtney, GutterBuzz represents more than a successful business.
