BEAVER, Utah, July 12, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Cottonwood Fire is now 74% contained at 92,278 acres, and homeowners continue to have limited access to their properties for the past few days.
“Similar to yesterday, fire activity may pick up this afternoon if storm cells move over the fire area bringing unpredictable, outflow winds,” a Utah Fire Info update says.
“Crews are prepared to take action on any areas that show an increase in fire activity, supported by helicopters with water and retardant drops.
“If you are traveling in the fire area today to visit your property in Arrowhead or LeBaron, please use caution as crews are working along the roads to remove hazardous trees.
“Staying overnight has not been permitted in the restricted areas.”
