NEW YORK, March 9 (UPI) — Ian Ziering, David Hasselhoff and Ryan Newman are set to reprise their Sharknado roles in the fourth installment in the disaster franchise, Syfy and The Asylum announced Wednesday.
Tara Reid will also return to reveal the outcome of the fan-voted #AprilLives or #AprilDies social-media campaign, which will decide whether her character survived the previous film’s cliffhanger.
Newcomers to the cast will include Gary Busey, Cheryl Tiegs, Tommy Davidson, Imani Hakim, Cody Linley and Masiela Lusha.
Scheduled to premiere on Syfy this July, the TV movie will take place five years after the East Coast was ravaged in Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! The new location has not yet been revealed.
“Fin, his family and the cosmos have been blissfully sharknado-free in the intervening years, but now sharks — and ‘nados! — are being whipped up in places (and ways) least expected,” the cable network said in a press release. “Currently filming, Sharknado 4 will include a plethora of additional outrageous and surprising cameos to be announced soon.”
Anthony C. Ferrante will once again direct from an original screenplay written by Thunder Levin.
