UHP identifies Santaquin man killed in single-vehicle crash in Benjamin

BENJAMIN, Utah, April 29, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Police have identified the 25-year-old Santaquin man killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday in Benjamin.

Hunter J. Walker died following the 4:56 a.m. crash on state Route 164, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Walker was driving a Dodge Durango westbound on SR-165 when it “veered off the side of the road to the right and launched off the overpass structure concrete wall, back into the travel lane, and across again.

“The vehicle climbed up the wall, impacted a round pillar of the structure, and rolled down the wall,” according to UHP.

Walker was was ejected from the Durango and died at the scene, UHP said in a news release. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to UHP.
