“Sesame Street” Sends up “Jurassic Park” with Parody Video

NEW YORK, June 9 (UPI) — “Sesame Street” has posted online “Jurassic Cookie”, a video parody of “Jurassic Park” starring its beloved Muppet Cookie Monster.

“It took a brilliant scientist with a brilliant idea to open the world’s first cookie theme park — Jurassic Cookie. Join Cookie Monster and his friends in an action-packed, giant, dino-cookie chase!” a synopsis said.

The five-minute clip features the furry, blue monster dressed as the late Richard Attenborough‘s character — the theme park’s creator John Hammond — in the classic 1993 dinosaur movie. In the video, Cookie Monster’s scientific experiment goes awry and an enormous, dinosaur-shaped biscuit chases him and two, small children.

“First time cookie ever tried to eat me,” the fleeing monster declared.

Jurassic World, a third sequel in the Jurassic Park franchise, is to open in theaters Friday.
