19-year-old man accused of threatening former roommate via text

WEST JORDAN, Utah, June 24, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) –A 19-year-old man was taken into custody in the early hours of Monday morning after he allegedly sent threatening text messages to a former roommate.

West Jordan Police Officer Jennifer Worthen said the two men had been feuding, and the victim alerted the police when he started receiving the texts.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, was detained in the parking lot at 5078 W. Clay Hollow Drive, and was compliant when officers took him into custody, Worthen told Gephardt Daily. He will be facing a charge of “threats of violence.”

Worthen said no weapon was found on the suspect. The incident is still under investigation.
