EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah, May 5, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A Utah County residential fire in Eagle Mountain spread from house to house, damaging at least four and leaving two as total or near total losses.

Unified Fire firefighters responded to the first burning residence at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Because of wind, the blaze quickly spread to a second residence. A second alarm was called six minutes after the first crews arrived.

“They were able to stop the fire before it ran the whole row of homes,” Unified Fire spokesman Benjamin Porter told Gephardt Daily.

“They are calling one of the homes a total loss, and a second home is just about a total loss.”

No injuries to residents or firefighters were reported, Porter said.
