3 men shot after altercation in Ogden

OGDEN, Utah, Sept. 2, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Three men were shot following an altercation in Ogden early Sunday morning, officials said.

A news release from Ogden City Police Department said the officials were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of 25th Street just after 12:30 a.m.

“The initial investigation indicates an altercation took place inside a local business before spilling out into the parking lot where this incident occurred,” the news release said. “Upon arrival, three males were found to have been shot.

Two of the men were transported by ambulance to local area hospitals, while the third declined treatment.

The incident is being investigated by Ogden City and Weber County CSI. Detectives are following up on leads and potential suspect information.

Officials said the incident appears to be isolated and does not pose an ongoing threat to the general public.

No further information is being released at this time as the investigation is ongoing, the news release said.
