SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 16, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — Photos have been released of an individual who took off running from a stolen vehicle during in a police chase after reportedly robbing a Phillips 66 gas station.

Officials said the incident began at the Phillips 66 at 6070 S. Highland Drive, where the individual presented a note to the teller and demanded cash. He then left in a vehicle, which had been reported stolen Monday night.

“The individual fled from our officers, our officers saturated the area, we found the vehicle here abandoned, and the individual fled on foot,” said Sheriff Winder.

The individual is described as a white male, 30-35, with a thin build, a tattoo on the back of his head, and either bald or very light hair.

Officers will continue to search for the individual but if anyone has information as to his identity they are asked to call the Unified Police Department Violent Crimes Unit at 385-468-9814.
