Police seek suspect after Sugar House Red Hanger is robbed

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 8, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for a suspect after a Red Hanger in Sugar House was robbed Monday evening.

The incident occurred at the dry cleaner at 700 E. 2180 South just before 6 p.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“A male entered the business at the above address and demanded money from the clerk while physically pulling the clerk over to the register,” the news release said.

The suspect then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money. He ran on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as being in his late 20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing a gray coat, black gloves and blue jeans. His face was covered with a dirty cloth.
