SPANISH FORK, Utah, March 19, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A man sought by police following a shelter-in-place order in Payson Tuesday night has been taken into custody in Spanish Fork..

According to a press release from the Spanish Fork Police Department, SFPD officers — along with Utah County Major Crimes and the Utah County Metro SWAT team — served a search warrant Wednesday around 1 p.m. at a residence near 400 North 900 East.

The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Joshua Taylor, was found hiding in a shed behind an apartment complex and was taken into custody without incident, the SFPD press release said.

Police confirmed Taylor is the same individual they had been searching for in Payson the previous night, when a shelter-in-place order was issued.

A second person, identified as 30-year-old Jayme Unrnezis, was also taken into custody at the scene. Authorities said Unrnezis faces multiple charges, including drug-related offenses, child endangerment, harboring a fugitive and obstruction of justice.

Taylor was booked into the Utah County Jail on charges including drug-related offenses, child endangerment and a Board of Pardons warrant.

Both individuals were transported to the Utah County Jail, according to the release.
