SPRINGVILLE, UTAH – July 21, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — One woman was taken out of Hobble Creek Canyon via Life Flight after being ejected from a vehicle rolling down the mountain late Sunday night .

According to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office officials were called out to Hobble Creek Canyon after there were calls stating that a car rolled down the mountain. Witnesses said that the car was traveling about 30 mph when the driver went around a curve and lost control of the vehicle.

The car went over the edge of the road, rolled several times and stopped about 100 feet below the road. There were only two people in the car; the passenger, McKenzie “Kenzie” Morgan, 18, of Springville, was not wearing a seat belt at the time and was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled.

The Springville Ambulance crew responded along with the Life Flight helicopter. After Morgan was stabilized she was flown to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in critical condition. The medical staff found that she had six broken ribs, multiple pelvic fractures and multiple spinal injuries.

Morgan was then transferred to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray. She has undergone several surgeries and will have more over the next several days.

The driver only sustained minor injuries.
