Tanker driver hospitalized, I-80 reopened after spilled-milk incident in Summit County

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah, May 18, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — North Summit Fire officials have confirmed that Interstate 80 has reopened after a tanker filled with milk crashed near mile marker 160 in Summit County.

The “single occupant of the semi had to be extricated by firefighters and was transported to an Ogden area trauma center,” the agency’s statement says.

The tanker was filled with 5,000 gallons of milk.

Summit County Health department is on scene coordinating the clean up, the Saturday afternoon statement says.
