OGDEN, Utah, July 12, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Trails in the area of the Mountain Road Fire will remain closed until Tuesday despite the wildfire being declared 100% contained.
A Utah Fire Info update said the closure is “so firefighters can continue to work safely and ensure the fire area is safe for others.”
The fire was reported at 1 a.m. Saturday, and grew to 18 acres, threatening multiple structures before it was brought under control.
“Thanks to the rapid response of Ogden City, Weber County, and assisting crews, homes were protected and the fire was fully contained,” the UFI statement says.
