MIDVALE, Utah, July 22, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A bicyclist was transported to an area hospital after a collision with a stopped car at 900 East and Fort Union Boulevard.
Unified Police PIO Aymee Race said investigators were dispatched at about 3:14 p.m. Wednesday, and that witnesses reported a bicyclist “was weaving in and out of traffic and not obeying traffic laws, and there was a vehicle stopped at the intersection and the bicyclist smashed into that car that was stopped at the light.
“That bicyclist was transported in critical condition.”
Investigators are on scene, and some traffic lanes, such as 900 East northbound, are closed.

“We’re just asking people to please avoid the area while our CAR team is out here, which is a multi-jurisdictional investigation team for crashes” They will be on scene until they complete the investigation, Race said at about 4:15 p.m.
